Following their arrival in the UAE, participating tactical teams have officially begun intensive training in preparation for the UAE SWAT Challenge 2026, the seventh edition of the global competition organised by Dubai Police.
Training sessions are taking place at the dedicated training city in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai, as teams gear up for the championship scheduled to run from 7 to 11 February 2026. The organising committee confirmed that teams arriving in the country have immediately commenced their preparations according to a structured training schedule tailored for each team.
Officials noted that the early arrival of teams reflects a high level of commitment and professionalism, with participants demonstrating strong readiness for the demanding challenges that define the competition. Many teams also undertook extensive preparations in their home countries, carefully selecting elite personnel capable of achieving top scores across all stages of the challenge.
Teams have already begun training on the five core challenges of the UAE SWAT Challenge: Hostage Rescue, Assault, Officer Rescue, the Tower Challenge, and the Obstacle Course. Each challenge tests speed, precision, teamwork, and tactical skill, requiring competitors to complete tasks in the shortest possible time while maintaining accuracy in shooting, handling multiple weapons, carrying heavy dummies, overcoming complex obstacles, and descending from elevated towers using ropes.
